Our philosophy ...

... of the spicy and balanced Thai cuisine

We, Ratthaphon Sanphaudom and Chinnawat Nanta, are your speciality chefs at the Nam Thai restaurant. Many years of experience in high-class hotels in Asia, but above all our love and the associated memories of our childhood, flow into our authentic Thai dishes.

We wish you much pleasure and enjoyment and hope that our authentic and perhaps sometimes unfamiliar, genuine cuisine from our homeland will suit your taste.

Under some of the many dishes in our menu you will find very personal descriptions and special notes on them to help you understand the way they are prepared and to take you on a journey to our roots.

Ratthaphon Sanphaudom

I was born and raised in Chiangmai in the north of Thailand. My passion for cooking began with memories of my grandmother's home cooking. The taste of the simple recipes reminds me of my childhood. I enjoy seeing how happy people feel when they try the dishes I create for them. After graduating from university, I attended the Thai Culinary Institute in Chiangmai and graduated in 2012. I started working at the Park Hyatt Dubai in the Thai Kitchen for 4 years. Then I moved to Copenhagen, Denmark and worked at Rice Market Restaurant in a chain of Michelin star restaurants called Kiin Kiin. In 2018, I had the opportunity to join the opening team of Loy Fah restaurant at Panorama Resort and Spa in Feusisberg.

As a team leader in our Thai kitchen, I welcome you to Nam Thai, where you can enjoy some of the authentic Thai dishes.

Chinnawat Nanta

My culinary career is driven by a deep fascination with the diverse regional cuisines of Thailand—from the intricate, subtle flavors of the North to the bold, vibrant profiles of the Northeastern and Southern regions. I am deeply committed to a personal mission: to showcase the depth, heritage, and authentic essence of Thai gastronomy to an international audience. To this day, nothing fulfils me more than seeing the genuine appreciation and smiles on guests' faces when they discover and experience the dishes I create for them.

Following my graduation with a bachelor’s degree in culinary technology and service from Suan Dusit School of Culinary Arts, I embarked on a professional journey within the luxury hospitality industry across the Middle East, including Banyan Tree and Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som. This international exposure allowed me to master modern Thai cuisine, fusion techniques, and wellness gastronomy and earning a Bronze Medal from the Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge. I am dedicated to bridging cultures through food and bringing an elevated taste of Thailand to the global stage.
